Job description
Finance Systems Lead

Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Finance Transformation, leading the support and optimisation of our Oracle Fusion platforms, along with other integrated systems. You’ll manage technical platform requirements, execute end to end configuration and integration tasks, and oversee the development of standard operating procedures across all finance system admin functions. As a leader, you will provide valued insights which contributes to the development and execution of the overall Oracle Fusion product strategy and roadmap.

This is a pivotal opportunity to contribute to the success of our organisation by working alongside a dedicated project team enhancing our Oracle Fusion platforms. You’ll also collaborate closely with a small remote offshore team and our wider Finance function, ensuring seamless delivery and making a tangible impact on our financial systems' reliability, performance, and strategic alignment.

About you

You are a seasoned finance systems professional with a strong foundation in large ERP platforms such as Oracle Fusion, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics 365. You bring proven experience in leading the day-to-day support and optimisation of complex financial systems to meet evolving business needs. Your ability to manage defect lifecycles from triage to deployment, oversee configuration updates through the SDLC, and maintain effective relationships with third-party vendors ensures consistent, high-quality service delivery. You are confident in establishing and championing policies and standard operating procedures for finance systems support, and you thrive on identifying opportunities to improve solution reliability, reduce costs, and enhance performance. Your technical and functional expertise is backed by a tertiary qualification in Finance, and ideally complemented by ITIL certification.

You are a collaborative leader who builds strong cross-functional relationships, particularly with ICT teams, ensuring alignment with security and privacy policies. You mentor and grow the capability of support teams through coaching and knowledge sharing, and you’re comfortable managing a prioritised backlog of enhancements in partnership with functional leaders and other senior business stakeholders. Your communication skills allow you to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, and your strategic thinking supports long-term planning and governance. Whether signing off on key deliverables or contributing to the roadmap for financial systems, you bring a thoughtful, accountable approach that drives operational excellence and aligns with organisational goal.
