Job description

The ElectroNet Group seeks a proactive and detail-orientedFinance Business Partnerto support our Westpower Network business. This position will be based in Greymouth. This is a key role supporting financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic decision-making to ensure the efficient, reliable, and sustainable operation of our electricity network infrastructure.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will work across cost analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Your insights and recommendations will help guide both operational and capital investment decisions across the business.

As a key member of our finance team, you will:

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis on capital and operational projects
  • Produce monthly management reports with detailed variance analysis
  • Lead regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Develop dashboards and models to support strategic decision-making
  • Track and analyse both operational and capital expenditures
  • Collaborate with asset, engineering, operations, and regulatory teams
  • Support ERP upgrades and digital transformation initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and reporting.

This position will also see you collaborating closely with the wider team, the Group Finance and Business Administration teams, as well as our external stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Aqualified CA/CPA (or currently working towards certification)
  • Minimum of3+ years’ experience in a management accounting role, ideally within the utilities or infrastructure sector
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments and asset management frameworks
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as MYOB Greentree, Excel, CRM platforms, and data warehousing tools
  • Experience with finance systems and monthly reporting.
  • A team player with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to present complex financial data
  • Proactive and collaborative, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Passion, enthusiasm and a sense of humour
