Job summary

MAS - Medical Assurance Society seeks an experienced Management Accountant to strengthen our Finance team. The role focuses on accurate reporting, robust governance and insightful financial commentary across MAS, with options for Wellington or Auckland offices.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage financial accounting, reporting and business partnering, helping leaders understand performance and make informed decisions while contributing to continuous improvement in financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related discipline.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, or in progress.
• 3–5 years in financial accounting, management accounting, audit or commercial finance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly results with trends, risks and opportunities.
• Produce management reports, Executive reporting and Board papers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Monitor performance against budgets and investigate variances.
• Prepare annual financial statements and working papers.
• Lead statutory returns and regulatory reporting.
