Consult Recruitment - Accounting and Finance is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a 3-month contract in Auckland. The role involves delivering P&L for several entities, managing assets and reconciliations, and assisting with AP processing. There is 1 day of work-from-home per week.

The ideal candidate will have core accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and an interest in leveraging AI tools to automate workflows within a lean environment.

Qualifications

• Proven background in core accounting and financial reporting.
• Ability to prepare P&L for multiple entities and analyze variances.
• Strong Excel skills with proficiency in advanced functions and data queries.

Responsabilités

• Deliver accurate P&L statements for multiple businesses.
• Manage fixed asset registers, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations.
• Review daily accounts payable batches and approve disbursements.
• Support AI workflow automation initiatives and other process improvements.
