Job summary

Overview

Airedale Property Trust (APT) is a property investment, management and development trust affiliated with the Methodist Church of New Zealand. Together, the Three Trusts, Methodist Mission Northern, APT and The Lifewise Trust hold and manage directly a portfolio of social housing, retirement villages, retail and residential properties. Airedale Property Trust provides Shared Services across Airedale Property Trust, The Lifewise Trust and Methodist Mission Northern.

Who you report to
  • You report to the Finance Business Partner of Airedale Property Trust
Who reports to me

You will have no direct reports but will work closely with the Property and Finance Teams.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining property data in our online management system ensuring accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinating tenant recharges
  • Communicating professionally and coordinating directly with all the tenants, major suppliers, contractors, consultants, stakeholders, and the community i.e. sending letters of notices, handling correspondences, arranging meetings, etc.
  • Supporting reporting and compliance activities
  • Administering tenant rent reviews and formal correspondence.
  • Liaising with tenants, owners, accounts, and facilities teams.
  • Managing the safekeeping of basic Property Department files and key registers.
  • Creating and maintaining tenancy records.
  • Support with invoicing and tenant arrears
  • Undertaking additional tasks or projects as required.
Skills & Experience
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Familiar with all aspects of Office 365 including Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines
  • Flexibility in adapting to the changing needs of the role, as determined and directed
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Experience using a variety of database systems and being able to translate what you know to other systems
  • Desire to work in a team that supports one another and resolves conflict in a professional manner
  • Positive mind set to make a difference - “can do, will do” attitude
  • Punctuality and good time management skills
  • Must have current NZ working rights
  • Previous experience with MS Business Central is desired but not essential.
  • Flexible approach and able to adapt positively to change
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi
