Job summary

JobSpace is seeking a Financial Analyst to join a health sector investment programme in its early establishment phase in Auckland. Based in Ellerslie, you’ll be part of a small finance team supporting the financial backbone of a major programme from the ground up.

Your work will cover budgeting, forecasting, and resource modelling, with a hands-on role in commercial analytics and procurement-related support within a high-profile initiative.

Qualifications

• Experience as a financial analyst or similar role, ideally within a large programme, project, or capital works environment.
• Strong Excel/financial modelling skills and comfort working with large datasets.
• Methodical, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Health sector or public sector experience is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Programme budgeting — supporting the development and maintenance of budgets across the programme
• Programme forecasting — assisting with forecast preparation, tracking, and variance analysis
• Detailed resource planning — building and maintaining resourcing models to support programme delivery
• Assistance with commercial activities — providing analytical support across commercial and procurement-related work
