Job summary

Salt is seeking a skilled Service Technician in Hastings, New Zealand. This hands-on role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural and construction machinery both in the workshop and on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a mechanical repair workshop.
• Experience with agricultural or construction machinery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of machinery and equipment.
• Identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and instruments.
• Access service and parts information using computer systems, including machine diagnostics.
• Dismantle, repair, and rebuild components to manufacturer specifications.
• Complete all administrative and service documentation accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet workflow and production deadlines.
• Travel to client sites as required.
• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards.
