Job summary

Trimble, a global industrial technology company, seeks an Applications Specialist for Christchurch, New Zealand. On-site and field testing will be core, bridging real‑world earthmoving needs with advanced GNSS, IMU, and machine control software.

You will conduct hands‑on testing, translate user requirements into precise test plans, and develop automated scripts while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable, and scalable solutions for heavy machinery.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of professional experience in software testing or robotics.
• Background in mechatronics engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Exposure to software development lifecycle processes.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands‑on system, component, and API testing on heavy machinery software and hardware.
• Translate real‑world earthmoving needs into actionable testing specifications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and manual test plans.
