Canstaff is seeking a Field Based Surveyor to support planning, organisation and delivery of contract works across diverse projects in New Zealand. You will ensure high-quality set out and accurate as-built records while coordinating with engineers and clients.

The role requires Diploma in Surveying and demonstrated experience with 12d Model/12d Field, plus strong organisational, data management, and communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma in Surveying (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience with 12d Model and 12d Field.
• Proven ability to set out contract works from plans or data.
• Strong organisational, planning, and data management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Aufgaben

• Completing set out, surveying, and as-built tasks using appropriate instruments.
• Processing survey data and models within 12d Model and 12d Field.
• Managing GPS machine control outputs, design models, and calibrations.
• Preparing quantities for monthly claims and ensuring accurate data management.
• Liaising with councils, engineers, and clients to maintain strong communication channels.
• Supporting continuous improvement of surveying procedures, systems, and equipment.
• Upholding all health, safety, and environmental requirements and contributing to a positive safety culture.
• Providing guidance and training to engineers on basic survey and as-built tasks as required.
