Job summary

Windsor Engineering Group in Auckland is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, inspect, and maintain boilers, burners, and control systems across regional clients from our Mt Wellington branch.

The role involves travel up to one week per month, and after-hours callouts as part of a flexible service team. A trade qualification in Maintenance and Diagnostics is preferred, with a valid NZ driver’s license and commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold a trade qualification in Maintenance and Diagnostics.
• Trade certificate or equivalent experience.
• Limited Electrical Registration (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Conduct boiler annual inspections, alarm and functional testing
• Combustion analysis and tuning of combustion systems
• Routine preventive maintenance of various types of plant equipment
• Customer Asset Management
• Perform electrical installations and maintenance
• Be available for after-hours callouts

Our core products and services focus primarily on Energy Plant, (Boilers and Air Heaters), Timber Drying, Industrial Heating and Cooling, Air Movement and Filtration.

Our service operation team is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our Auckland branch in Mt Wellington. Here is an opportunity to get involved in varied and interesting project work and learn the skills required to maintain industrial energy plant, gas burners, steam boilers, industrial hot water boilers, industrial air heaters and automated control systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting boiler annual inspections, alarm and functional testing
• Combustion analysis and tuning of combustion systems
• Routine preventive maintenance of various types of plant equipment
• Customer Asset Management
• Perform electrical installations and maintenance
• Being available to be part of the after-hours callout roster

We are looking for service technicians experienced in the repair, diagnostics and asset preventive maintenance of machinery. Our team works within the Auckland region including parts of the Waikato and Northland. Travel away from home is a requirement at a frequency on average of one week per month and there is the potential of international travel.

Your background and skills:

• Trade qualification in Maintenance and Diagnostics
• Trade certificate or equivalent experience
• Limited Electrical Registration (or can be completed once employed)
• Experience in the Repair, Diagnostics and maintenance ofmachinery and equipment
• A proactive approach to health & safety
• Must have a valid NZ Driver’s license
