Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Technician in MedTech sector is desirable.

Job description

Based in Auckland, we are currently seeking a motivated and passionate Field Service Engineer – Infection Control to join our growing Service Team. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to continued growth and business expansion, reflecting the increasing demand for Getinge's high-quality products and services across New Zealand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting Preventative and Reactive Maintenance for Getinge equipment at our customer sites. You’ll play a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our valued customers and providing support to other Getinge Field Service Engineers as needed. You will manage the greater Auckland territory, with travel required throughout the North Island and, occasionally, across New Zealand.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Building strong relationships with Getinge Customers through effective customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Conducting Preventative and Reactive Maintenance for Getinge equipment based at our customer sites;
  • Supporting installations of Getinge capital equipment;
  • Troubleshooting issues which present occasionally in equipment, and ensure that the product is returned to a fully functional level enabling the customer to continue their business operations;
  • Liaise with the Getinge Service Co-ordination team prior to attending customer sites; ensuring that you are effectively prepared to resolve the customer's issues;
  • Completing Service Documentation within a mobile device

Mandatory requirements:

  • Electrical or EST licence allowing you to perform work on 380VAC equipment
  • A mechanical aptitude
  • A valid Driver’s Licence
  • Right to work in New Zealand
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation
  • Are able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • An ability to work as part of a team

Desirable background:

Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Technician, ideally in the MedTech sector
