Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join the New Zealand team of a leading global technology company. This flexible, contractor-level role (approx. 24 hrs/week) offers independence, variety, and the chance to work with advanced equipment for professional clients across the country. Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair high-tech equipment across NZ
• Handle both scheduled maintenance and urgent breakdowns
• Provide clear, professional support and training to clients
• Keep accurate records and manage stock effectively
• Travel as required (domestic, with potential overseas training)

What you bring

• Qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical or related field
• 3+ years’ hands-on experience servicing complex equipment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and solve problems under pressure
• Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working independently
• Part-time contract (around 3 days per week) with scope to grow
