Summary

As our business grows, we are looking to further strengthen our service organisation by hiring a Field Service Engineer to perform equipment installation, validation, service, and repair for all ranges of STERIS equipment within assigned territory in New Zealand.

You will provide User Training and troubleshooting support in the New Zealand market as required as well as assist the Service Manager / Director in managing spare parts inventory and documentation.

What You Will Do
  1. Develop and implement technical service function for STERIS equipment.
  2. Perform equipment installations, preventive maintenance, validations and repair of equipment and products in the field as assigned.
  3. Interface with customers via customers visit / telephone / email to provide quality product support.
  4. Provide in-service session for the customers and conduct equipment and assist product clinical trials demonstrating applications with regards to systems, accessories, and techniques.
  5. Provide applications / user / technical training.
  6. File product complaints according to company procedures.
  7. Assist with spare parts inventory management for various products.
  8. Identify training needs and make recommendations.
  9. Maintain preventive maintenance and troubleshooting and document accordingly.
  10. Document and update internal procedures.
  11. Manage and maintain equipment / spares database file through accurate documentations of movement, tracking and repair statuses.
  12. Deliver a superior level of customer after sales support.
Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
  1. Trades Certificate, Engineering Certificate/Diploma with strong hands-on technical service experience with medical equipment
  2. Experience in troubleshooting, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems components
  3. Must be able to operate a computer, have an intermediate understanding of DOS and Windows, as well as proficient in Microsoft Office software packages, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  4. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary to manipulate tools and equipment to perform essential functions.
  5. Customer oriented and focused
  6. Travel within New Zealand as assigned. May require occasional travel outside of New Zealand
