Job summary

MSD UK in Upper Hutt, New Zealand, is seeking a Lead Technician - Fermentation SME to support frontline operations in a GMP manufacturing environment. You will lead technical area performance, coach team members and drive improvements across production, quality, safety and cost.

You will own deviations, CAPAs, and changes within your area, execute make-test-release activities during peak periods, and contribute SME input to site projects including Process Hazard Assessments.

Qualifications

• Strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience working in GMP manufacturing or biotech environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical area targets.
• Own deviations, CAPAs, changes and Enablons within your area.
• Coach production staff and support make-test-release activities during peak periods.
• Analyse data and identify opportunities for improvement and practical recommendations.
