A leading seafood company in Blenheim is seeking a Farming Data Administrator to manage databases and support mussel farming operations. The role requires strong Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. Qualifications

  • Maintain and update the Aqualive database promptly.
  • Conduct regular sense checks on incoming data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Manage and update spat-related spreadsheets.
  • Communicate effectively with mussel growers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with vessel skippers and operations managers.
  • Administer payments related to mussel trips.
  • Generate purchase orders and process invoices efficiently.

About the Role

Are you highly skilled in Excel and Microsoft Office, with a keen eye for data accuracy? Join our team at the Havelock factory as a Farming Data Administrator, where you will play a vital role in maintaining our databases and supporting mussel farming operations.

We're open to considering candidates on either a full-time permanent basis or a fixed-term contract, depending on the right person for the role.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the Aqualive database promptly to ensure reliable and current data.
  • Conduct regular sense checks on incoming data to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or errors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies by liaising with vessel skippers, operations managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage and update spat-related spreadsheets to support operational planning and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with mussel growers and relevant stakeholders to ensure data accuracy.
  • Coordinate with vessel skippers and operations managers to validate databases and spreadsheets.
  • Administer payments related to mussel trips, including payments to growers and stakeholders.
  • Generate purchase orders and process invoices for external customers efficiently and accurately.
