Stand Tū Māia works to support tamariki who live with whānau or are in care, and are vulnerable to cumulative harm and have complex needs. The service aims to break the cycle of toxic stress and remove the constraints to whānau flourishing. We aim to do this by taking a bio-psycho-social, spiritual and nutritional approach to tamariki an whānau restoration and preservation. • An understanding of therapeutic social work, systems theory and the impacts of relational trauma
• Consistent attention to safety and wellbeing which underpins all aspects of practice
• Familiarity with child development and the importance of healthy attachment.

• A high standard of literacy demonstrated in case recording, assessment, analysis and child and family plan documentation
