Overview

We are looking for an experienced general practitioner to provide whanau-centered, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to whanau (family) that addresses health needs and promotes wellness. The incoming physician will be comfortable working solo in one of our regional clinics, as well as our main clinic. The successful candidate will be committed to achieving health equity and driving quality improvement to ensure better health outcomes for our communities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general practice care in a kaupapa Maori environment, with emphasis on whanau-centered and culturally appropriate service.
  • Work solo in regional clinics and in the main clinic.
  • Collaborate with medical students/trainees as part of a teaching practice, and with nurse practitioners.

Schedule & patient load

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm; approximately 30 patients per day; 1:4 nurse-triaged call.
