Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a Family Court Co-Ordinator based at the Levin or Palmerston North District Court. This permanent part-time role (24 hours per week) focuses on coordinating specialist services and managing key relationships within the Family Court environment.

You'll join the Lower North Island Family Court Coordinator team, bringing strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and knowledge of Family Court procedures to support court users and practitioners.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to juggle competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with high levels of initiative.
• Commitment to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Experience in or knowledge of Family Court procedures and legislation.
• Analytical skills to interpret and apply relevant legislation.
• Proficient levels of computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate specialist services and manage relationships with management, the judiciary, professional service providers, legal practitioners, court users and community groups.
• Based at Levin or Palmerston North District Court and contribute to the Lower North Island Family Court Coordinator team.
