Quality Approved Suppliers (NZ) Ltd – Washdyke, South Island
Come and join our small Team in this busy, pivotal, largely hands‑on production role. For the right person - we offer permanent, rock‑solid, secure, steady, full‑time income (with some overtime required).
Established in 1992, we are New Zealand’s leading supplier of premium Beef Dripping. We're proud our product is 100% Pure, 100% Local, and 100% Natural. People who care about what they eat and how it tastes are rediscovering simple, unprocessed food .. healthier, with no additives or preservatives. Truly, Nature’s Essence of Great Taste.
This is a hands‑on focused, shop floor role - with opportunity for supervisory input (how much depends on what we decide once we get to know you). Ours is a robust work environment, so it's not for the faint‑hearted. You'll be part of producing an ethical food product we've literally been eating since the beginning of time …
You will need to be who you say you are, committed to mucking in, working with others, pulling your weight, and doing what it takes. You'll “own” what you do, and will have previously demonstrated real leadership aptitude, capability and experience - preferably, in a production / manufacturing environment, or similar. You’ll “walk the talk”, knowing leading by example is the only way (and whinging about it is not). You will be focused on our “givens” (Health and Safety, and Quality) – while also keeping Productivity and the rest of our Core Values as a high priority.
As a potential leader, you'll be focused on listening, developing people, supporting an atmosphere where people feel their contribution is valued, and fostering great teamwork. It's really all about providing others with the support they need, to excel (all while upholding acceptable standards of performance, of course).
First, you’ll spend up to 3 months working on the shop floor, focused on becoming an expert in all of our processes. Once up‑to‑speed, you’ll partner with another to take the leading responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation and running of our small Plant. This will include input into associated administrative, as well as maintenance tasks – but expect your work to remain at least 80 / 20 (roughly at least 80% hands‑on).
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist or a superstar .. just have a clear track record of being an actual rock .. solid, steady, reliable, versatile, dependable, and up to the task (both physically and mentally). Some might say old school (doesn't mean you are actually old, lol). If you are the kind of person we’re looking for .. then We Need You! …
You'll be somebody who likes to work at a job that provides you with some physical exercise.
