About the Role | Mō te tūnga

We are gauging expressions of interest for individuals who are keen to pursue a career in engineering and gain hands-on, practical industry experience while working towards a qualification a Level 4 NZ Certificate in Light Fabrication.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Provide support to the trade team including conducting welding and polishing procedures.
  2. Learn from experienced team members and be guided under their instruction.
  3. Complete all on-job and online assessments in a proactive and timely manner.
  4. Keep workshops and the yard clean, tidy and hazard free, and ensure that rubbish bins are emptied on a regular basis.
  5. Operate equipment such as forklifts and cranes to load and unload materials.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about all-things engineering, is eager to learn new skills, regularly demonstrates initiative, and is dedicated and reliable.

You enjoy learning new skills and can work both independently and as part of a professional and collaborative team.

You will have strong communication skills, have a good understanding of safety requirements in a workshop environment, and you are eligible to live and work in New Zealand.
