Pet Doctors Howick in East Auckland is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinarian to join our welcoming team on a 9-month fixed-term contract commencing late October 2026.

Located in Howick, our well-equipped clinic features digital radiography, ultrasound, IDEXX diagnostics, and separate dog and cat waiting areas.

The role offers a balanced mix of consults and surgeries with light sole charge one day a week, full-time preferred, and NZ registration required.

Qualifications

• BVSc (or equivalent) and eligible for New Zealand veterinary registration
• 3+ years' experience in small animal practice
• Confident with routine consults and surgery
• Comfortable with occasional sole charge
• A positive team player who enjoys a collaborative clinic culture

Responsibilities

• Great balance of consults & surgeries
• Light shared Saturday morning roster - no Sundays or on-call
