Experienced preschool teacher | small, nature-loving centre

We’re on the lookout for an experienced, energetic teacher to join our over 2s team at Stellar Kids ELC.

We’re a privately-owned centre (licensed for 30 tamariki) with an amazing community of families. With intentionally small group sizes, our teachers can build strong connections and focus on quality care — not just managing numbers. Our philosophy centres on strong relationships, play-based learning, healthy living, and making the most of our natural environment. With real trees, grass, mud, and a bush reserve around the corner, we believe tamariki learn best through play, curiosity, and connection with nature.

The role

We’re seeking a teacher with passion and initiative to bring energy & experience to our over 2s room. You’ll enjoy creating purposeful, engaging environments, supporting daily flow and routines, and sharing ideas to strengthen practice.

Outdoor play is a big part of our day, and we’re looking for someone who is keen to help the children enjoy and learn from our natural surroundings.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the environment and daily flow of the over 2s room, making a real impact on tamariki and the team.
