Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation in Waihi, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced underground mining professional to operate Jumbo development drills and install ground support. This residential role offers a balanced lifestyle in a stunning region with a strict on/off roster.

You will bring 8+ years in underground mining, 2 years on Jumbo, plus a valid First Aid certificate and a manual driver’s license. Successful candidates will lead by example and help maintain safe, productive operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years underground mining experience, 2 of which operating a Jumbo.
• Current First Aid Certificate and valid driver's license.
• Ability to install bolts and mesh and bore headings.
• Must have previous experience as a Loader Operator and Development ChargeUp.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Jumbo development drills to mine headings and install ground support per mine standards.
• Mentor style approach and teamwork; lead by example and fulfill all job responsibilities competently.
• Perform all work and related functions safely.

Safely and efficiently operate Jumbo development drills to mine headings and install ground support as per mine standards. At all times, display ahigh degree of professionalism and quality of work to ensure that cost effective productivity is delivered safely and ontime.

• Making sure that all headings mined comply withstandards.
• Mentor style approach and teamwork. Lead by example and fulfil all job responsibilities competently.
• Perform all work and associated functionssafely.

Qualifications

• Full and current driver license and confidence driving manual vehicles over roughterrain.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• A minimum of 8 years underground mining experience, 2 of which operating aJumbo.
• Ability to install bolts and mesh and boreheadings.
• Must have previous experience as aLoader Operator and Development ChargeUp.
