Job summary

NZ Ministry of Education is seeking a General Manager, Ministry Operational Improvement and Change in Wellington. Lead a coordinated programme of organisational improvement and change, strengthening capability, performance and impact across the Ministry.

You will drive delivery across people, processes, systems and culture, with a focus on equity and excellence in education outcomes. The role is Wellington-based, with a requirement to be based in Wellington four days per week for non-Wellington

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading complex transformation programmes in large public sector organisations.
• Ability to translate strategy into practical delivery and measurable outcomes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with senior stakeholders.
