Job summary

The New Zealand Defence Force invites applications for an Equipment Manager to oversee a diverse Combat Engineer equipment portfolio. You will manage equipment throughout its lifecycle, support procurement, budgeting, and policy development, and advise on acquisition to disposal, collaborating with military personnel, suppliers and experts.

Qualifications

• Experience in lifecycle management of equipment, assets, fleets, or logistics support systems.
• Strong stakeholder, contract, vendor and relationship management.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of asset management, engineering management, or ERP systems such as SAP.
• An understanding of military logistics is desirable.
• Full New Zealand Drivers Licence; ability to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of Combat Engineer equipment through its full lifecycle.
• Provide equipment management advice from acquisition through to disposal.
• Investigate equipment issues and contribute to practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Support procurement activities, budgeting, contract management and tender documentation.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across NZDF, industry and suppliers.
