We’re looking for a motivated Environmental Planner to support our operations from our Bell Block office. If you’re passionate about the environment, resource management, and making a real-world impact, this is your chance to work at the heart of New Zealand’s energy sector.
As part of our Consenting and Environmental Compliance team, you'll play a key role in navigating the Resource Management Act (RMA), preparing resource consents, and building strong relationships with councils, iwi/hapū, and local stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and maintain our portfolio of resource consents.
Lead the preparation of resource consent applications.
Keep us ahead of changes in legislation and draft company submissions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with councils and regulatory bodies.
Support iwi and stakeholder engagement under the RMA.
Ensure environmental compliance across our sites.
Provide strategic input into environmental planning and risk management.
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Resource & Environmental Planning (or similar).
Around 5 years’ experience in planning/resource management.
A solid grasp of the RMA and national environmental standards.
Excellent attention to detail, with great organisational skills.
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Experience drafting environmental documents and reviewing legislation.
