Kick-start your engineering career with a leading utilities organisation as part of the 3-year Graduate Programme featuring mentoring and career development.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week with a remuneration of $74,325 p.a. (including KiwiSaver).

The Opportunity

At Wellington Water, our graduate programme allows you to secure the step from being a graduate with potential to a high achieving young professional and entry into the water industry. You'll be rotated through multiple areas of our business, providing you with an introduction to the overall operations and maintenance activities for the water supply, wastewater, and stormwater networks.

Your skills will be engaged across a broad spectrum of activities, including administration of maintenance activities, contracts, budgeting, investigations, auditing, and managing minor capital works projects. Over time, you will gain experience and confidence through our adaptive leadership program and become a valued part of the company, administering the Wellington Water’s network within the Wellington area.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Civil or Environmental (equivalent to Washington Accord Degree), the desire to collaborate and engage with a broad range of people, valuing a customer service focus, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a pro-active approach with a health and safety mindset, and a full, clean current NZ driver’s licence.
