Job summary

Waikato Regional Council in Hamilton seeks an innovative compliance professional to engage with communities and industry, developing strategies to protect the environment. Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of engagement or influencing behaviour change experience.
Experience in leading work packages from development to execution.
Ability to deliver in a high pressure and rapidly changing environment.
Proven success at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Full NZ driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

Assist development and implementation of engagement and communication strategies for environmental issues.
Enhance the effectiveness of operational compliance through clear communication with the regulated and wider community.
Manage stakeholder relationships and special interest groups to improve understanding of environmental compliance.
Liaise with the council communications team to ensure corporate standards and branding are met.
Facilitate regional and national compliance forums, workshops and conferences as required.
Develop and maintain cross-organisation relationships to strengthen engagement.
