Job summary

New Era Technology NZ is seeking an on-site IT support technician to join our client-facing team in Oamaru. You will be the first point of contact for IT issues, delivering face-to-face support and handling the ticket board to resolve problems efficiently.

Based at client sites, you will travel locally, sometimes up to 1.5 hours, with a company vehicle provided. Must be a NZCitizen or permanent resident with a NZ Driver’s License, and the role offers a neat pathway for growth.

Qualifications

• NZ Citizen or permanent residency.
• NZ Driver’s License (Full or Restricted).
• Willingness to travel locally between client sites.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, chat, and face-to-face interactions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by clients at client sites.
• Document and track client issues using a ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams and follow up until resolution.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide accurate support.
