Job summary

Bupa Sunset Care Home in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland, is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse for a fixed-term role until 31 October 2027. You will work 32 hours per week with morning shifts (7:00am–3:30pm) across a 4-on/2-off roster, delivering high-quality care across rest home, hospital and psychogeriatric settings.

This role requires current APC with Nursing Council of NZ, and experience in aged care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• NZ aged care experience preferred; other RN backgrounds considered.
• Demonstrated improvements in care plans, assessments and documentation quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to residents across rest home, hospital or psychogeriatric settings.
• Deliver person-centred care aligned with Nursing Council of New Zealand competencies.
• Lead care delivery, embrace new care product innovations, and make clinical decisions while delivering safe, evidence-based care.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Fixed Term until31-Oct-2027
• Hours: 32 Hours Per Week
• Shift Time: , Morning Shifts, 7am-3:30pm, 4 Shifts On 2 Shifts Off
• Roster Pattern: 4 shifts on, 2 shifts off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Located in Blockhouse Bay, Sunset is a well-established 122-bed care home providing Rest Home, Hospital, Dementia, and Psychogeriatric care. This gives you the opportunity to care for residents across multiple service levels while remaining part of one stable team and one supportive workplace.

Working a consistent 4 shifts on, 2 shifts off roster, you will enjoy morning shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm and 32 hours per week. This role offers the stability of a fixed-term contract through to 31-Oct-2027, making it ideal for an experienced nurse wanting certainty while continuing to make a meaningful impact.

As a Enrolled Nurse, you will provide high-quality clinical care to residents across rest home, hospital or psychogeriatric settings.

• You’ll deliver person-centred care aligned with Nursing Council of New Zealand competencies, ensuring residents’ wellbeing, dignity and safety while supporting their individual needs
• Success in this role looks like leading care delivery, embracing new care product innovations, and making clinical decisions while delivering safe, evidence-based care
• You will excel at building strong relationships with residents and whānau, while actively contributing to continuous quality improvement

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
• NZ aged care experience preferred; other RN backgrounds considered
• Demonstrated improvements in care plans, assessments and documentation quality
• Identifies health changes early and acts to ensure safety
• Communicates effectively with residents, whānau, teams and providers
• Maintains clinical standards, accurate documentation and quality improvement
• Confident using clinical systems, records and reporting tools.
