Overview

Woodford House, a leading special character, state-integrated, boarding and day school for Y7–13 girls, in Hawke's Bay, is seeking to appoint a permanent, full-time Teacher of English to join our team. We nurture each girl who walks through our doors so that her light shines brighter. This role may be required to teach at all levels, including scholarship English and junior social sciences.


The position is to commence term 1, 2026.



About you


  • Registration with the Teaching Council of New Zealand, or ability to obtain it

  • A relevant teaching or other qualification

  • Teaching experience desirable, specifically English to senior level

  • The ability to teach scholarship English

  • The ability to promote exceptional education in a blended learning environment

  • A willingness to meet our future-focused learning goals

  • High level communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the Special Character of Woodford House
