Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and effective English teacher to join our Senior school.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing quality teaching and learning for students with diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Keeping up-to-date with current pedagogy
  • Ensuring quality pastoral care of students.

About you:

  • You demonstrate exceptional teaching practice, delivering motivational and differentiated English lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • You have a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum, and can effectively teach English to senior levels
  • You are highly organised, self-motivated and thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • You maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
  • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key attributes

  • Ability to teach English to senior levels Y7–13
  • IB experience and/or NCEA experience at Levels 2 and 3 is preferable
  • Current Teacher Registration
  • Valid New Zealand working rights.
