Job summary

Dunstan High School in New Zealand invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term English teacher. The position covers Secondary (Years 7–15) and wharekura, with preference for continuing to Year 13 though not essential. Start date is 28/01/2027 and the contract ends 10/12/2027 (Maternity Leave).

Successful applicants should be Certificated teachers with English specialty. Please indicate any other supporting subjects you can teach.

Qualifications

• Qualified and certificated teacher for English.
• Ability to teach across secondary levels and wharekura when possible.
• Willingness to teach through to Year 13 is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura students.
• Contribute to a creative and high-performing English department.
• State any other supported subjects as applicable.
