Palmerston North Boys' High School invites applications for a part-time, long-term relieving teacher for Term 1, 2027. The position is up to 0.8 FTE, starting 31 January 2027 and ending 9 April 2027, on-site 8.00am–3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with staff meetings and PD as required.

The role covers Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, teaching English and The Arts, and requires registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Qualifications

This is a long term reliever position for Term 1, 2027 only.

Start date for this position is Monday, 31 January 2027 and the end date is Friday, 9 April 2027.

Teachers are responsible to the rector for the lesson planning, curriculum content, assessment of student progress, reporting to parents and other delegated responsibilities at the discretion of the rector.

Applicants should be well-qualified, registered with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand and be willing to participate in the co-curricular life of the school.

The successful candidate will be expected to be available for work on-site Monday to Friday from 8.00am - 3.30pm as a minimum, plus staff meetings and professional development as required.
