Job summary

Māruawai College invites applications for a Curriculum Practitioner Lead - English (Years 9–10). This full-time permanent role focuses on curriculum innovation, literacy development, and improving outcomes through high-quality teaching.

You will work with the Learning Area Leader to develop and review the English curriculum for Years 9 and 10, support teachers to deliver engaging programs, and contribute to a coherent school curriculum across the college. Visits welcomed.

Qualifications

• Registered or certificated teacher in New Zealand.
• Experience leading English curriculum development.
• Ability to use assessment data to improve learner outcomes.
• Proven leadership and collaboration with staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead English curriculum for Years 9–10 across Māruawai College.
• Support teachers to deliver engaging learning programmes.
• Promote evidence-based teaching practices and literacy development.
• Contribute to a coherent and connected curriculum across the college.
• Collaborate with the Learning Area Leader and wider staff.
