Job description

Overview

We’re seeking a skilledTrades Assistant with HVAC or mechanical experience to support essential maintenance work across a variety of commercial buildings for our client. You’ll be part of an on-site engineering team responsible for maintaining heating, ventilation, and mechanical systems to ensure smooth daily operations.

Location: Dunedin City
Pay rate: $30 per hour (paid weekly)
Days: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and servicing of HVAC systems
• Working within an engineering team to ensure system reliability
• Pipework installation, repairs, and modifications
• Air filter replacement and cleaning for optimal air quality
• Steam and water system maintenance and minor repairs
• General building maintenance related to HVAC systems
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations

Qualifications

• HVAC and mechanical experience (heat pumps, motors, filters, pumps)
• Pre trade inmechanical, HVAC, automotive or electrical
• Previous site experiencein a workshop or construction site
• Able to pass pre employment Drug and Alcoholtest, clean MOJ
