Engineering Maintenance Technician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Technician at our Upper Hutt site. This position is part of the maintenance team and involves participating in the on-call schedule. The Engineering Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing and documenting maintenance tasks
• Quickly fixing equipment problems
• Assisting with complex equipment issues
• Conducting scheduled maintenance
• Planning tasks with the scheduler
• Accurately filling out documentation
• Supporting other technicians
• Suggesting improvements
• Resolving equipment breakdowns
• Troubleshooting equipment and processes
• Maintaining a clean work environment

Minimum qualifications and skills:

• Hands-on experience with equipment
• Mechanical skills or trade background preferred
• Skills in welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Experience with GMP/GLP or ISO 9000 is a plus but not required
• Basic computer skills are helpful
