Job summary

Meridian Energy is seeking an Engineering Draftsperson in New Zealand to provide professional drafting services for the safe operation, maintenance, renewal and improvement of generation assets. You will develop, update and maintain engineering drawings across the asset lifecycle, producing design drawings, incorporating modifications and ensuring accurate as-built records.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering, design or CAD qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in an engineering drafting or CAD role.
• Knowledge of electrical, control and instrumentation, mechanical and civil engineering drawings.
• Extensive experience using AutoCAD software.

Responsibilities

• Produce, update and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Meridian drawing practices.
• Provide concept, design, construction and as-built drawings for projects and maintenance.
• Prepare drawing packages and documentation to support design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Provide drafting support for smaller capital and operational projects.
• Translate engineering requirements into accurate drawing deliverables with engineers and project teams.
• Offer technical guidance on drawings and drafting practices to internal users and contractors.
