Job summary

Celestica Electronics (S) Pte Ltd in Otago, New Zealand, is seeking a hands-on manufacturing support technician. You will perform 5S, manage tool storage and WIP, document activities with MS Office, and follow directions from Product/Test to prepare rack/servers.

You will assist engineers with pilot runs, monitor test status, configure equipment per specifications, and raise tickets for issues. Daily/weekly/monthly reporting and adherence to company rules are required, with focus on Kaizen and

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related field.
• Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Strong knowledge of setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts 5S activity and ensure compliances.
• Maintains good storage of tools /material and WIP.
• Documentation using MS Office; keep records and update tracker / log / WhatsApp.
• Works on assigned rack/servers per trained method and directions from Product/Test.
• Supports Rack test and monitors test status; trigger related parties as needed.
• Handles test configurations per customer specifications and performs software loading.
• Assists engineers for pilot run orders and resolves product related issues.
• Daily updates of the orders on the line and keeps the line organized.
• Generates daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Supports audit and compliance with company rules & regulations.
• Feedback to production for WMS issues and Kaizen/CR projects.
• Raise & update Tech Direct tickets / email triggers.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Perform tasks such as, but not limited to:

• Good habit in documentation, familiar with MS Office, keeping records and update tracker / log / WhatsApp to keep engineers and related partners well informed

• Works on assigned rack/servers per trained method, customer intent documentation and directions from Product /Test

• Supports Rack test, monitor test status closely and trigger related parties for necessary actions

• Handles test configurations in accordance to customer’s specification and performing software loading

• Assists engineers for pilot run orders and resolve product related issues

• Daily updates of the orders on the line and keeping the line well maintained and organized.

• Generates daily, weekly and monthly reports

• Supports audit, comply to company rules & regulations

• Feedback to production for WMS issues and work on FPY / DPPM / FID / WMS Kaizen & CR projects

• Raise & Update Tech Direct ticket / email trigger within agreed time

• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned in accordance to the business needs

Job Requirements:

• Engineering Foundation Competencies

• Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems and principals of operation

• Strong knowledge of the setup, operation, and maintenance of specific equipment sets used in manufacturing processes

Education

• Diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
