River and Stormwater Hydraulic Modeller

WSP has an opportunity for a technical leader in hydraulic modelling, either senior or principal level, and can be based in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington or Christchurch. Our technical leaders pride themselves on being expert advisors with a focus on technical excellence, and who thrive on knowledge sharing, continuously upskilling the team and enhancing our client offerings. This role includes leading nationally and regionally significant hazard and mitigation studies, as well as hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for New Zealand’s largest infrastructure projects. The role offers the perfect blend of technical challenge and professional growth, allowing you to leverage your expertise while contributing to innovative solutions that shape our communities.

About You

  • Bachelor of Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience with significant focus on stormwater and flood hydraulic modelling.
  • Expertise in one or more of InfoWorks ICM, DHI (MIKE) or Tuflow and their use in assessment, investigations & design.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written. communication including the ability to present ideas, information and advice in a way that is understandable by a range of audiences.
