Qualifications

Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for producing high quality short and medium term mine designs and schedules, through effective management of the mining data capture, storage and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce high quality short-medium term plans to the mine operations team that adhere to the long term mine plan and budget objectives.
  • Deliver development designs consistent with internal standards in line with the short to medium term plan objectives.
  • You wil lbe responsible for the management of all mining data and reporting.
  • Liaision with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical input and site knowledge into trade-off studies, conceptual infrastructure designs, and optimisation works.
  • Maintain cost models for underground operations, collate cost models from other active operations and manage the integration into the budget outputs.
  • Communication and presentation of weekly operational mine plan to Underground Personnel at the beginning of each operational planning week.
  • Continual development of shift planning and short term interval control tools with mine operations team with a focus on linkages to weekly and monthly schedules.
  • Work with suppliers and stakeholders to integrate systems for data capture and display, Digital, MySandvik, Automine, Load Scan, Pronto, INX.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
  • Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in underground mining.
  • Proficiency in DeswikCad and Deswik Scheduler.
