About the Role (your why)

The Endpoint Engineering Specialist will assist with the development of desktop Standard Operating Environment (SOE) architectures for outsourced IT service environments for remote supportability.

This will include the development of ongoing support and maintenance processes for standardisation across multiple customers. You will also provide 3rd level support and escalation point for Desktop Support competencies for burning problems, critical environmental issues and Endpoint design faults.

Our offices are based in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, we like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!

What you’ll do

  1. Using tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with SLAs
  2. Proactively manage and maintain customer Endpoints and supporting infrastructure
  3. Initiate and drive service and process improvement
  4. Own personal development, by maintaining certifications relevant to your role
  5. Engaging collaboratively with internal and external parties
  6. Proactively contribute to the team and Datacom’s success

What you’ll bring

  1. Knowledge of Hardware and Software Vendors support processes, including product Lifecycles
  2. Advanced End User management skills within a Managed Services environment
  3. Modern and traditional Endpoint management methodologies/tools - SCCM and Intune
  4. Virtual Desktop (AVD) experience
  5. Able to install, configure and support Endpoints, software and printers
  6. Ability to be proactive and perform preventative maintenance when necessary
  7. Ability to prioritise tasks and have a strong sense of urgency and drive
  8. Demonstrate proactive thinking and creativity in driving automation
  9. Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision or within a team
  10. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  11. Excellent customer service and communication skills
  12. Exposure to the processes of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management
