McKay Hamilton is recruiting for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our Water and Wastewater Maintenance and Projects team. This role involves installation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of electrical systems in water treatment plants, pump stations and wastewater facilities.

The position offers field-based work with opportunities on new installations, upgrades and preventative maintenance programmes.

Competenze

• NZ Registered Electrician with a current practising licence.
• Experience working in water, wastewater, industrial, or process environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs and motor control systems are essential.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities (with internal and external stakeholders).
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• Experience leading a team would be advantageous.

Mansioni

As a Water Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems associated with water treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, and wastewater facilities.

This role offers a variety of field-based work, with opportunities to work on new installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and commissioning of water and wastewater electrical systems
• Fault finding and troubleshooting on pumps, motors, control systems and instrumentation
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with New Zealand standards
• Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients and the wider McKay Hamilton operational team

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• NZ Registered Electrician with a current practicing licence
