Skills Group in Nelson is seeking an Electrical Tutor to support student learning and achievement through practical electrical training, assessment, and course facilitation. You will deliver industry-relevant training across apprentice blocks and industry courses, assess progress, and guide learners toward real employment while upholding high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• NZ Electrical Registration is essential (Full Practising Licence, Inspector's Licence or Electrical Engineering Degree).
• Strong practical experience within the electrical industry.
• Experience in tertiary teaching or training is desirable, and development will be provided.
• Hold Unit Standard 4098, or be willing to obtain it with Skills Group's support as part of your professional development.
• Strength in student engagement, coaching and communication.
• Good organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a regional team.
