Location: Hastings, Hawke's Bay

Due to continued growth within our Transpower maintenance contract, we're looking for an experienced Supervisor - High Voltage Electrical Services to lead our Hawke's Bay team.

This role offers the opportunity to oversee the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance and project works across the network, with a key focus on leadership, coaching, and capability development to ensure the team is well positioned to meet future client and operational requirements.

About The Role

Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team of skilled electrical professionals delivering maintenance and minor project works across Transpower substations and associated assets.

This is a varied role that combines field leadership, project delivery, resource planning and team development. You'll work closely with crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while supporting the ongoing growth and capability of the team.

You'll spend time in the field supporting operations and verifying quality, with the remainder focused on planning, scheduling, stakeholder engagement and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of electricians and field personnel
• Develop team capability through mentoring, training and performance support
• Identify, match, and develop employees in specialised technical disciplines to ensure the long-term capability and resilience of the service delivery teamCoordinate the delivery of maintenance and minor project works across high-voltage assets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify efficiencies across the operation
• Plan and schedule resources across multiple work programmes and sites
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance
• Conduct site visits, inspections and quality assurance activities
• Monitor project and maintenance performance to ensure work is delivered on time and within scope
• Provide technical guidance and support to field teams when required
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

About You

We're looking for a practical and proactive leader with a strong electrical background and a proven ability to deliver results through people and processes.

You Will Bring

• Current EWRB registration (essential)
• Strong electrical industry experience, ideally but not essential, within high-voltage environments
• Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills
• Strong computer literacy and reporting capability
• Strong and proven leadership skills and ability to coach and develop others.
• Ability to identify and match individuals with opportunities to develop specialised technical skills and expertise.
• Ability to create a strong culture of good workmanship, quality, and communication.
• Experience supervising teams and coordinating maintenance or project activities

Travel & On-Call Requirements
