Job description

We’re looking for a qualified and motivated Electrical Fitter to join our team and help keep essential infrastructure running smoothly. You’ll be working on critical assets across substations and distribution networks, making sure everything runs safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installing, maintaining, and testing electrical distribution and substation equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Working with transformers, switchgear, and protection systems
  • Ensuring all work complies with industry regulations and safety standards
  • Collaborating with a skilled and experienced team across varied projects

Role Requirements:
  • You’ll be trade-qualified, safety-focused, and ready to get stuck into meaningful work.
  • Registered Electrician or Electrical Fitter (NZ registration or ability to obtain)
  • Experience in substation construction or maintenance (11kV to 220kV preferred)
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety and compliance standards
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and schematics
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and in a team
