Job description

Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)

We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems - from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing.

About The Role
  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10-40 hours/week

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your technical knowledge has real impact on the next generation of AI.

What You'll Do
  • Design challenging problems - Create advanced electrical engineering scenarios across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, and signal processing to rigorously test AI reasoning
  • Author gold-standard solutions - Write detailed, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
  • Audit AI outputs - Review and evaluate AI-generated circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and technical explanations for accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC)
  • Improve AI reasoning - Identify logical flaws in AI-generated responses and provide structured, actionable feedback that sharpens model performance on engineering tasks
  • Work on your schedule - Complete assignments asynchronously, with full flexibility over when and how much you work
Who You Are
  • Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, signal processing, or power electronics
  • Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
  • High attention to detail when reviewing equations, circuit logic, and engineering documentation
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, robotics, or engineering simulation tools
  • Exposure to large language models or AI research workflows
Why Join Us
  • Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs
  • Fully remote and async - work from anywhere, on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Gain rare insight into how advanced AI models are trained and evaluated
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
