Placements24 seeks a Junior Electrical Design Technician to join a growing Queenstown team. This internship offers hands-on experience under mentorship, helping you learn electrical design, CAD drafting, and project documentation.

You will assist senior engineers with schematics, BOMs, and technical specs, while learning company standards and contributing to project files on-site in Queenstown.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is essential; experience with electrical CAD tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and modifying electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software.
• Support BOM preparation and technical specifications under senior engineers.
• Help with basic electrical calculations and verifying design parameters.
• Learn and apply company drafting standards and procedures.
• Organize and manage design documentation and project files.
• Shadow experienced engineers to gain practical insights.
