Full-time Fixed-term Curriculum Designer Role

The curriculum designer role is part of the Curriculum and Assessment Change Programme within Te Poutāhū Curriculum Centre.

Curriculum designers ensure all requirements and quality criteria are incorporated into learning materials, working closely with workstreams to ensure alignment across the programme.

Salary range: $118,371 - $143,760 per annum plus 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary reflecting their skills and experience.

Key Success Factors:
  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes in a complex organization
  • Experience in programme/project environments
  • Understanding of The New Zealand Curriculum and Te Whāriki
  • Knowledge of the NCEA Review of Achievement Standards
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Understanding of educational change and implementation practices supporting teachers and students
  • Cultural competency to operate effectively in te ao Māori and Māori communities where needed
