Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trade Sales Assistant to join our Trade Centre based in Glenfield, Auckland.

Hours of work are Part-Time, totaling 6.5 hours on Sundays, 8:30am - 3:30pm.

Are you an experienced salesperson who loves helping customers find what they need for their job? Knowledge of PPE, Hardware, or Apparel is a plus, but not essential, as product training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, identify their needs, and present solutions across our product range
• Provide excellent customer service, making customers the top priority
• Coordinate with support teams to meet customer requirements accurately and timely
• Assist with store presentation, visual merchandising, and product selection
• Maintain stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation
• Handle packing and dispatching of goods
• Help maintain accurate inventory records

Our Ideal Candidate

• Has a strong retail or sales background
• Experience in selling products like Power Tools, Hardware, Safety Footwear, or PPE is advantageous but not necessary
• Possesses a positive attitude, energy, and eagerness to learn and grow
• Driven to exceed sales targets and be rewarded for high performance
• Outgoing with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Problem solver capable of turning challenges into wins
• Passionate about customer service with a proactive attitude
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
